New 2017 Texas PASRR training webinars from HHS

In order to provide regular PASRR training and updates to Texas nursing facilities, the PASRR unit of Texas Healthcare and Human Services (HHS) has scheduled a series of online webinars for the remainder of 2017.

Each one-hour PASRR Technical Assistance Call (PTAC) will provide detailed information regarding the latest PASRR issues affecting Texas skilled nursing facilities. Sessions will take place every other month beginning in April. During each call, HHS will respond to questions related to the topics of discussion. A summary of the Q&A will be posted afterward, along with a recording of the webinar, for future access.

Who should attend?

These webinars are applicable to all nursing facility staff who work with the PASRR program, including anyone responsible for handling PASRR form entries.

    1. Hi Beverly — We do not currently offer CEUs for the webinars. This particular training comes directly from HHS so it’s specifically related to PASRR updates and changes.

  1. Since simple ltc is partnered with aanac and we use simple and matrix with our company, do I still need to become a aanac member? Trying to figure out how to take the classes and exams to become rac-ct certified without the cost…

    1. Hi Brandi — While SimpleLTC sometimes offers MDS-related training, we don’t offer or administrate RAC-CT certification. You’ll need to work with AANAC to get that. You may also want to check Relias Learning’s offerings…I know they offer an MDS certification as well. Good luck!
