Attention Simple Clients: Internet Explorer has reached its end-of-life and (as of June 15, 2022) is no longer supported or updated by Microsoft.
This means it’s time to say goodbye to this legendary browser and embrace a new browsing experience with modern browsers like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Mozilla Firefox. We encourage Simple clients to switch now to a more recent and secure browser to ensure the best and safest experience while using Simple software.
Why switch?
Failing to upgrade to a modern browser puts your organization’s valuable data and software systems at risk. Long-term care facilities are responsible for collecting and protecting a great deal of sensitive data. When you fail to protect resident information, you’re risking HIPAA violations and endangering your ability to provide quality care for your residents.
Specifically:
- Failing to upgrade your outdated version of Internet Explorer makes you highly vulnerable to malicious malware and software hacking attacks.
- Only new browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge are regularly updated with security patches, which protect your users and systems.
- Many websites and online services, including Microsoft itself, no longer support Internet Explorer. To protect your critical data and maximize the value of your Simple software, you should upgrade your browser immediately.
How to update your browser
While Simple’s recommended browser is Google Chrome, any of the options below can help ensure the safety of your resident data. Click one of the icons to update your browser:
You can check whether your Windows computer needs browser or other updates by clicking the Start Button, then going to Settings > Windows Update, then selecting “Check for updates”.
